In my last post I told you about a nice, great, wonderful, awesome, etc. words aren’t enough to describe … SEO software. I guess you have bought it. If not bought, you might at least have tried the software. I think, you might have liked it? Isn’t the tool wonderful? Tell me…
Lets move forward. Sometimes in your WordPress site some errors or problems start coming. Sometimes in your dashboard, you are not able to see the
Plugins Column, Other WordPress News, WordPress Development Blog News and many other things.
You may think, I have checked the following columns to show in Screen Options, but yet they aren’t appearing. Why? Whats the reason?
Not only this, sometimes, you are not able to upgrade WordPress or you are not able to re-install WordPress. Many a times you are not able to plugins tags in plugin install page (ADD New page) in WordPress. Sometimes you are not able to install a certain plugin. But when tried installing it manually, uploading directly to your server and then activating it, it works. Why? At certain times you are not able to upload themes. You are not able to edit them. The problem worsens when you want to edit your theme for a serious change but you are not able to do. Sometimes you are not able to edit plugins.
This is not all. Sometimes you are not able to store plugin settings or options. In my case I was not able to save options of the plugins All In Seo Tools, Autotagger, Hana FLV Player, etc. and many other plugins. In All In One Seo Tools and Autotagger I wasn’t able to store settings because the number of keywords and tags I used in them respectively were very large in number.
This made my WordPress use excess memory in my site. Which memory? Its PHP memory. Thus resulted in an over load. So it was no able to save the options. These problems are not all. Besides these there are many other problems that arise due to excess load of WordPress. Sometimes you are trying to upgrade a plugin or trying to install a new one. Or trying to upgrade WordPress itself or trying to reinstall WordPress and you are not able to. The upgrade or install windows just shows “Downloading update from http://downloads.wordpress.org/………” etc. The process does not go forward. Why?
All these problems come due to excess load on WordPress and your server. This is caused when PHP memory is limited and your usage is unlimited.
In this post, I have give you the reason for the problems occurring due to low PHP memory limit. In the next upcoming posts I will tell you how to change your PHP limit.
