There is a wide range of sites that give you to create your blog. Some of them are Blogger, WordPress, Livejournal, etc. The question is that “Which One You Should Choose?”

Blogger.com (Blogspot)

Blogger.com was the first blog-service I used. It is free, it was associated with Google a well known and respected company. It offers me html editing, widgets and many other features. I like to use it very much . Posting is also very easy.

Just type in the TITLE –> Type Your CONTENT –> Type CATEGORIES –> Hit PUBLISH BUTTON. As easy as that. Widgets in Blogger were also innumerable and all useful. Blogger but has many deficiencies.

WordPress.Com (WordPress)

WordPress.com was the second blog service that I used. I enjoyed using it but my enjoyment was limited. It offered widgets but they were very limited. I can only use a few of the widgets provided by them. My WordPress experience was not that good. Also I was not able to change or modify the template. It was not their feature. At last WordPress is a service with very limited features. Also in wordpress we cannot use any scripts like Sitemeter or modify the wordpress templates code. We are not permitted to show ads on our blogs neither can we use Adsense from Google. To do that we have to go pro i.e. we have to pay a fixed amount. Because of this I didn’t like using it.

I recommend Self hosted wordpress against WordPress.com and Blogger.com.

WordPress.Org (Self Hosted WordPress)

Self hosted wordpress is far better than Blogger.Com and WordPress.Com blogs. It is full of features. It offers many plugins to choose with and also many themes you can use for your blog. Its development is also on the go. It is rapidly developed and updated. If you find a bug in it. You can simply report it and it will be repaired by the WordPress team quickly. WordPress forums also help to solve our problems quickly regarding wordpress.

So I recommend all of you to register a domain for your blog and self host it with any of a well known and good rated web host. Self hosted wordpress is far better than Blogger.Com and WordPress.Com blogs.
