Why Did The Adsense Moderators Approve My Account?

Its been a few days that my Adsense account was approved. I tried to figure out the reasons why my account was approved and I found the following reasons.

1.) From the day I started Blogging Junction I was regular in it i.e. I posted and kept Blogging Junction updated regularly except for a few days in September and October when I had my exams. Other time Blogging Junction was updated regularly.

2.) I only posted original articles. The original articles were written by me and were not copied from anywhere i.e. any other blog or website.

3.) My site was not cluttered. Everything was arranged in a proper place and proper manner. I didn’t have too many items in my Sidebar and other parts of my site.

4.) The most important part was that my site was easily navigable. I have in Blogging Junction regular links to archives pages and category pages.

5.) Contact Page, About Page, Privacy Page matters. I have all of them except Privacy page as I don’t need it.

6.) No other advertisements. Why so, you will think? Its because from this the Adsense editors will come to know that this site admin will focus on Adsense and only Adsense. He will not use other ads on his site and will only focus on Adsense.

7.) Traffic matters! At first when Blogging Junction was started, it had a few visitors and consequently after three months that’s now it had a large number of visitors. At first they disapproved my account and now they approved, this shows that traffic really matters.

My blog is almost 1 year old. 130+ posts, 10k+ page views per month and still no luck with adsense. Rejected 4 times. :)

Your smiley shows you are happy being away from Adsense! ;-) Your stats are quite good! I think your bad luck is going on! He..he… try increasing the traffic stats.

Adsense used to pretty much approve everyone within 1-2 day I guess they has changed?

Adnsense is not a very elite club just about everyone that applies gets approved and believe it or not many get banned as they approach the $100 payout thresh-hold. So be sure to follow all the rules and do not click on your own ads! :)

Yes I will never click on my own ads….

Hi Saksham

Interesting list. I think all of your points are correct.

I’m not going to use adsense, at least until next year. But these tips will help me if I eventually decide to apply for it.
I think affiliate marketing can be a better option for me now.

Thanks Saksham for sharing.

Regards.

Hello again.

These are really good tips to get adsense account approved using your site.

However you can use docstoc.com or blogger.com to get approved more quickly. I had written about this on another post – i do not want to copy post and cause duplicate content on you blog so here is the link to the comment –

Its recommended that we wait for 6 months or more, but I got approved after my blog completed just 3-4 months. This means that content and traffic is more important.

Siprily July 29, 2010 at 10:23 AM

I have several blogs but none of them, approve by adsense.
May I ask, how many visitors came to your blog when you sign up for adsense and how many content?
Thank you

Reply

Saksham Talwar July 29, 2010 at 11:19 AM

There were about 200-300 visitors I guess and may be some 90-100 posts.

It seems your blog’s layout is somewhat messy. Its good to use images, but there are LOT of images on each page. Try to improve layout. The Google AdSense Employees might not have found good place where you can put ads. Leave some blank space in sidebars or in the area you want to put ads.
