Twitter To Launch “Promoted Tweets” – Way To Money Making And Profits!

Twitter ranks as one of the most popular sites on the Internet especially among the Bloggers and webmasters and other website owners. Twitter has become a very popular site which is mostly used by Bloggers and webmasters. The main use of Twitter by these people is for their post promotions and to get known by various people in the web and their followers.

Till now there wasn’t a premium section in Twitter. By premium I don’t mean that you will have to pay to access Twitter or any section for it, but sponsored tweets officially by Twitter. Till now Twitter wasn’t officially accepting premium (paid) tweets and Twitter only gave importance to Value of the site. But after all they are all businessman. How long can they survive without any profits? So they have decided to launch “Promoted Tweets”, which is a paid service.

Promoted tweets are exactly like buying ads on some site. Here the tweets won’t appear as advertisements, but with the word “Promoted”.

Promoted Tweets as I said above is like advertising and a way to earn via Twitter site. The Twitter guys are launching the first phase of Promoted Tweets platform with a handful of innovative advertising partners that include Best Buy, Bravo, Red Bull, Sony Pictures, Starbucks, and Virgin America. Do you think this is all? Not at all! They are many more partners to come in. Promoted Tweets are ordinary Tweets that businesses and organizations want to highlight to a wider group of users. In other words they are paid tweets. Currently first phase will be launched and in the coming days Promoted Tweets will expand and will be available to new advertising partners and other Twitter clients.

Where Will Promoted Tweets Appear?

These Promoted Tweets will appear at the top of some Twitter.com search results pages. These promoted tweets won’t be out of the search results, but will be related to the search query. This measure ensures that the search is essential and the results too are useful. They will attempt to measure whether the Tweets resonate with users and stop showing Promoted Tweets that don’t resonate. In other words only related tweets will appear and not at random.

How Will Promoted Tweets Appear?

Promoted Tweets will be clearly stated as “Promoted”. This means that nothing will be hidden from the users. Users will know which tweets are promoted and which aren’t. Promoted Tweets will be exactly like regular tweets. They won’t lose any features. There will be features like re-tweeting, etc. like in normal tweets in promoted ones too. And to add, only one promoted tweet will be displayed on a search page. But I am sure that this number will increase further in the future. These promoted tweets will appear differently from other tweets and also they will appear on the basis of user interactivity. If a promoted tweet gets replies, re-tweets, etc. the tweet will be live and if users don’t interact with them the promoted tweets will go offline. The steady effort of Twitter guys is that users interact with these promoted tweets and so these promoted tweets will be highly related to the search query and result.
