In my last post I gave you a brief description about Google Buzz. What it is? What for it is launched? We discussed on all those topics. In this post, I will explain you how to use Google Buzz. Please read the rest to know the best to use Google Buzz.
When you log in to your GMail account, you will see a message of Google Buzz welcoming you. You will only see it if it is added to your account by Google. Otherwise it will take a few days for it to come in your account. You will see the following welcoming message:

Launch Google Buzz:
Click on Google Buzz icon on left sidebar. If you don’t see the icon, it will be available within a few days as Buzz is newly launched and it will make its way in your inbox soon!

Automatic Followers And Followings By You:
Google Buzz automatically adds some followers to your list. It only adds the ones whom you regularly communicate to.

Follow And Unfollow People:
You can follow / unfollow people just like you did in Twitter. It is same as it, nothing different! To see the people you’re following by default or to see the suggestion list, click on “Following 7 people (In My Case)” or “Find people”.
![]()
When you click on any of them, you will see a popup window as given below.

You can click “Unfollow” on the right side of the user name to unfollow the user.
If we scroll down that page, we can see follow more people and suggestions. Under “Follow More People” in search profiles, you can search for any name and if you find the person you want, you may follow him by clicking “Add” link besides his name. If you find any person in the “Suggestions” list useful and if you want to follow their messages, you can click on “Follow” link besides their name or if you want them to be removed from your list, just click on “Ignore”. It’s very simple!

Share Links, Photos, Videos, Etc:
We can share videos, photos, links, etc. in Google Buzz. We can make our updates public or private. Private option makes visible the post only to people you specify keep the post private! SShh…..

Comment On Posts, Like / Dislike Posts, E-Mail Posts:
This is a totally a feature of Facebook! You can comment on any of the Buzzed post! You can comment on it or like Facebook give your vote on it whether you like or dislike it. Its a good feature! If you don’t have words to say but you like or dislike the post, simply vote for it without any words!

E-Mail, Link, Mute, Delete, View All Buzz From That User, Report Abuse Or Edit The Post If You’ve Posted It:
Click the down pointing arrow to the right of any post and select “Link to this post”. This allows you to send a link to this content. It opens in a new popup window with the only post in that window. We can chat with the person who has posted the content directly in Google Buzz if the person is online. This option will only show in the list if the person is online and it won’t show up if he is offline.
By clicking on “View all buzz from user”, it will show all buzz contents of that specific user. Doing this will hide all other posts and you will only see the posts of that specific user. We can mute a buzz that appears in your Google Buzz inbox by clicking “Mute this post” which mutes the update from continuing to appear in your inbox as people comment or like to it. This will stop you from seeing the content you don’t lie or aren’t interested in it. Stop following feature is used to stop following any user just as the title explains. It will stop that users update from appearing in your Buzz screen. Report abuse feature is used to report any post or user to Google if his/her posts contain any violating things.

Connected Sites:
By clicking on “Connected Sites”, 3 Connected Sites in my case, it will show all the sites that your Buzz account is connected with.

For example Twitter, Etc. When clicked a window will popup with all the connected site details.

Direct Message To Some One:
We can directly message to someone in Buzz. Just write “@” without the quotes in front of someone’s username with the message and it will directly go to their inbox.

Turn Off Google Buzz Completely:
Although I recommend you to do this, if you want to do, you may click on “turn off buzz” in the extreme bottom of your GMail screen.

I find Buzz quite good! It has the same concept that of Twitter, but with its own twist. I guess it will progress a lot in the coming time. What do you think about this?

I didn’t have a gmail account at first so when I created one I had to find people the old fashioned way, by looking people up by name. I’m looking forward to your Buzz.
