I don’t think that I need to tell you how busy are we, the bloggers and that’s the reason we sometimes fail to comment on the blogs we once visited multiple times a day to comment, to make new friends and to establish ourselves. Though this doesn’t affect your blogging career in many ways, it limits you from making new blogger friends and to some extent get known. If you were a regular commentator on your friend’s blog until sometime back and if you’ve commenting from a few weeks or months, don’t you think it pinches your friend sometimes? If you are a blogger, it’s necessary that you stay in touch with your blogger buddies and also keep on making new blogger friends so that you never feel lonely in this world full of bloggers. But don’t you lead a busy life?
Until sometime back, I too lived a so-called busy life. I hardly commented on any blogs. I was even forced to neglect a few of my favorite blogs like NetChunks, TechnShare & HackTabs. But now, I’ve found a superb way to stay in touch with my blogger friends and leave quick comments on their blogs to remind them that I’m still here. Here’s how I leave a quick comment on any blog post and how you can do the same to make new buddies & to remind your friends of your & your blog’s existence. Chill, I won’t be sharing any automated spamming tools, By quick I mean quick and not spamming.
Skim Blog Posts & …
It’s not always possible to read the entire post. Sometimes you just don’t have that much time to read an entire post and then spend a few minutes more on commenting. I know that proper time management does not let this happen, but even to manage your time you need to spend time ;)
So one working solution is to skim the blog posts. Just read the introduction, the headings, a paragraph or two, the concluding lines and then leave a comment. As far as I’ve experienced, reading only the headings in a post gives you a fair idea about it. Based on what you’ve read, oh skimmed, leave a comment.
While you are commenting, please take care that you don’t post anything like “Thank you so much!”, “Your post made my day!!” or something like that. After all you are there to make friends and not to spoil your reputation.
Ask Questions!
Now this is somehow related to the above point. You will still have to skim the blog post and based on what you’ve read, ask a question. Try asking a complicated question to divert the administrators attention from your “short comment” to “your question”. Asking questions may not always work and your comment might end up landing in the spam box. This is because your question might already be answered in the post and you just probably didn’t notice it while skimming the post. Thus asking questions can prove fatal for your commenting future.
Don’t mind, but I’ve a solution for this too. Whenever you ask a question, avoid asking a question related to the headings in the post (if any). This reduces the chances of your question being already answered in the post. Be smart ;)
Make Use of Your Friend’s Facebook Profile
We all are active Facebook users, so are your friends. So whenever you read a blog, do not forget to friend that blogger on Facebook. This basically enables you to be updated with what’s happening in that bloggers life, both personal & professional.
For example if a blogger updates his Facebook profile with – “Had a nice time celebrating my pet’s birthday!”, you can simply comment on any of his “blog post” and not the Facebook status with “Happy birthday to your pet. Hope the blogger gave you a superb party! :D”. Don’t forget to add something related to the blog post you read. You can simply thank the blogger for the amazing blog post.
Does this work? Isn’t this something like spamming? This worked for me each time I tried it (I tried this a lot of times.) This isn’t spamming, because you are not posting a duplicate comment, you are not posting too many links, you are not just writing a thank you comment. You are writing something about the blogger’s life. So it’s definitely not spamming.
Obviously, you need to take care while doing this. Don’t over-use this method on the same blog a lot of times. For example, don’t wish the blogger’s pet Happy B’day on two of his blog posts. This is spamming :P
This is all I know about leaving a quick comment on a blog post. Of course I will keep on adding more tips here if something works for me. If you have something to say, or any tips you use to leave quick comments, just comment and I will add them to this post. Have a nice time commenting, sorry quick commenting!

Remarkable post….
Agree with you buddy! Skimming the blog posts not only saves time but also maintains the value in comment…
Liked the phrase “By quick I mean quick and not spamming”
Thanks for the share !
Thanks a lot Salman :) Yeah, skimming acts as time saver and at the same time gives us the required knowledge.
Right now not quick commenting, but a genuine query , does leaving comments on other blogs/sites help me in any other way like improving my page rank and other such thing or it’s just for letting them know you are also there.
It helps in increasing page rank too. :)
I think skim blog post is not a great idea, because reading is about understanding and analyzing every ideal words…
I would have to disagree with this because a lot of times you are reading blogs that you have a fair amount of knowledge of anyways. Skimming allows your eyes and brain to find things that stand out to you. You can then contribute or ask questions and get more feedback and knowledge on the topic. I agree that reading is about understanding but I don’t think that applies to blogs in general.
I agree with both of you, but when it comes to quick blog commenting, there is only one thing you can choose – speed or knowledge. I chose speed here :)
well, you have mentioned not to say thanks in your post comment as it looks fake but i would like to say thanks as it helped me a lot and i used to say thanks a lot in my posts before your post. :)
Yeah, but bloggers it seems no longer like it so try avoiding it ;)
But if you can thank the author / blogger like you thanked me here, I bet your comment will be approved :D
I agree, most bloggers don’t have the time (I’m one of them) but here’s a thought — perhaps, a complicated question even ;) — how long does it actually take to read through an article or blog post? As with this post for instance, it took me like 2 minutes to scan through all 800 or so words written. Is a 2-5 minute read and 1 minute comment not worth a valuable backlink to one’s site or blog? I think it is. I don’t know, call me ‘old-school’ but I still take the time needed to read through it all and leave a relevant comment if I feel compelled to. You also get to learn new things when you take it all in, even if you are a know-it-all. Cheers :)
6 minutes for a post is not too much, but when you are into quick blog commenting especially if you plan to rank your micro-niche blog quickly or if you are working for your client’s project, each minute counts and that’s where you need to make use of quick blog commenting :)
Anyways, each point of yours is true. If 5-6 minutes can give a lot of knowledge, we better must spend them :)
One can comment fast but one has to understand the post
It will not worthy if u dont read it.
Skimming is a good alternative to reading!
And that’s what I did here…
I agree
I agree with your topic.
Yes for commenting other sites you will get some friends.
The suggestions made me to comment on this blog post. Nice topic and will help many others to save time!
Let me apply the same on this post lol…. :P (jst kidding) skimming the post was really great, sometimes its too hectic to read the full post untill and unless it is interesting or much needed. And if the person is only want to comment on the blog post then surely skim is a great thing to apply on it. :)
Nice tips I have also experienced this in my blogging life, its not always easy to read whole articles better to skim it ;)
Seriously a very useful article… :)
Strongly agree with Jones on this one… i think this is a clear shortcut that simply against the law of building real relationship…
No matter how busy you are if you want to build high quality relations all you need is time and dedication.
and about reading… The more you read the more you will be able to write… this sounds total shortcut which in my opinion is not a very good idea…
I do it often to save time. Thanks for sharing such a great post Saksham.
:D nice but but i am not completely agree with such idea.. :) may be some time i can do this but not all the time..
The problem is getting into a comment and getting carried away, you then end up waiting for replies and then you suddenly find the time you set aside for visiting a few blogs and commenting have all been spent on one blog post on one site.
Asking Question is the bullet proof tips to get your comment noticed !! and the author will be forced to answer you.. ;)
so asking tricky question can be much effective..
But only asking question to make comments(I mean unnecessary ) should be avoided otherwise next time such a comments will be marked as spam by owner. So be careful.
If you want to post standard and attractive comments then reading of full post is necessary .Without it you can’t attract more people to your website.Commenting on few blog with reading full post is better then commenting on so many blog with skip reading the article.
I think guest posting on blogs is more useful than commenting on blogs because many blogs have no-follow attribute in there comment section and also visibility of blog post is much higher than a comment.
I consider myself lucky that I am very quick reader. I usually can read a long blog post pretty fast. This saves me time although sometimes I have to go back and re-read part of it…lol
Really a nice post.We generally want to post comment in a short time. Here you also mentioned the possible way of commenting in short time that make your post unique. I waiting for the next post.
I was just thinking though, is there really a way to leave just a quick blog comment? These days i prefer to write detailed blog comments to show that i really care about the blog post that has been written, this way the author of the blog can get some great feedback on there article and it will improve there work over time and going forward there site can improve based on the opinions of the users as at the end of the day the users and the readers of the blogs are the people that the authors of the blog are really trying to impress
I always skim a blog post anyway when evaluating whether to read or not. Good tips :)
Its important to read all the post if we want give related comment to it, and I consider it after I read this post. Thanks Sakhsam, its really good post :)
Best regards
Of course true that you can get a quick idea of the blog from the blog heading. So no need to spend much time to comment. Just skim. Thanks for sharing the great ideas.
These kind of quick blog comment will cause harm to blogs.. Will spammer increase to the blogs ?
Yes it is really advisable to ask questions to divert the administrators attention from your “short comment” to “your question”. Nice piece of information. Thanks for posting.
We are all guilty of been too busy browsing through what we really want from a blog, that we often forget to say a little thanks to those who took pain to insert the content.Nice article.
Reading the entire article is the best, because it will help you in creating a valuable opinion about the article and if you comment about it its possible to get the attention of other visitors and make them curious about you.
But in general, the quickest and easiest way is just by asking a question based on a particular part of the article.
Great tips by the way
Brilliant idea dude… I think this method will work out effectively…. I will do so and ready to find out how it works….!!!
Its necessary to read full post if we want to give related comment to it, actually the quickest way is just by asking a question based on a particular part of the article, chances of being noticed is more, wonderful piece of content, thanks for sharing.
I am trying to get high rank of my website and I have tried many techniques to reach on top but I think Blog commenting might be helpful for me so I would appreciate you for your good information. Thanks
This post can increase the numbers of comments in your posts . For sure :)
Great Post and enjoyable to read but for me, reading post and blogs is more enjoyable that just leaving a comment.
A post is created to be read :)
but i think this will be a useful tips for the people who are in a hurry….
The best strategy that I adopt is skimming the first and last paragraph of a post and than asking some meaningful questions in the comments section. This also increases webmasters trust on our comments
I think skimming a post is fine! I do this whether I plan to comment or not, just to see if it grabs me enough to put on a proper reading list.
I can´t tell you how many time i get comments with little or no relevence to my post if i am taking the time to read or at least skim a post im commenting on i expect others to do the same.
By this method of quick commenting, you’d get only good and useful comments. No usual thank you ones or spam ones.
It Helps too increase back-links also in the matter of SEO.
now most of the people, yes including me leaving a comment here are using your techniques now.. thumbs up for the awesome post…
