There are more than five hundred million people on Facebook. Are you using a Facebook app to effectively promote your blog to them? Even if you don’t know how to program, you can easily create an app to let people on Facebook follow your blog.
1.) Log into Facebook (if you don’t have a Facebook account, just create one). Then search for “Application Builder” and install it as one of the apps on your account.
2.) Look at the list of the different apps you can create. There are 12 different types. Let’s make a “Fan Page” for your blog – click on the blue button that lets you create one.
3.) You have to fill in some boxes with information about your app. There are seven boxes to fill in. Once you’ve filled in box 1 with basic info about your app, and clicked “Save”, click on box 2 and put the words and pictures there that people who use your app will see on their own Facebook profiles.
4.) Box 3 is the really important one. This contains the info people will see when they use your app. Make sure you include a link to your blog! You should write some good information here about your blog and why people should read it.
5.) When you’ve filled in the information in the first six boxes, go to the seventh box, marked “Finish”. Follow the instructions there carefully! Once you’ve finished with that box, your new app is ready to promote to all your friends on Facebook so they can become fans of your blog.
Remember that the Application Builder app has lots of different apps you can create, not just fan pages. You might think of other ways to promote your blog as well.
For example, if you have a blog about baseball and the World Series is coming up, you could create a gift app that lets people send pictures of the players in the two teams to each other.
The more interesting apps you create, the more chance you have of getting people reading your blog.
Create interesting apps and useful ones and you will surely get more and more fans [PLUS] free blog promotion!

Great tutorial.. Thanks Lily / Susie. I created an app a while back but never got around to finishing filling out the information areas, so thanks for the reminder.
This is a great idea, I never thought of this!
Awesome idea, but now… how do you get those 5 million facebook users to visit your fanpage (or other facebook app)?
Just ask your friends to promote your app. If your app is worth using, you will get a lot of users or members.
Great @ Thanks for share this @
My pleasure!
So many fans, I never even thought of that.
Unbelievable, but you can get them!
The best way to get them all to visit your blog is to make the application really interesting and relevant to your potential reader – whether it’s a silly quiz on how sexy she looks today or a trivia game about World War 2 history, if it engages a lot of people, it will spread. Once you have ten active users (you have to get ten of your friends to download your app) you can submit it to be published to the apps database. If it’s interesting enough, you’ll reach countless new fans!
You’re right!
Hi Susan,
Can you recommend at least three really cool apps idea?
Thanks!
Let me give some ideas… Why not create some polls in which everyone will like to vote or may be create some fun app or a game without using that application if you know coding.
