Facebook Blog Gets Renovated.

Visited Facebook Blog in the last few days after 9^th April 2010? No / Yes? We visit our Facebook profile daily and respond to our friends, write on others wall and do other such deeds. But do we ever check the Facebook blog? At least I don’t think so, we do that! At least I didn’t do this.

If you visit the Facebook blog, you’ll notice many things different. The Facebook folks have launched a new design. The main aim of this new design is to make the blog more visually appealing so that it attracts the visitors and also to make the blog more easily navigable and searchable.
The old design layout was very weak i.e. it wasn’t that attractive and not that good! It was very difficult to navigate in it and it didn’t have anything displaying the best, top stories and the featured ones.

So What Does This New Blog Contain?

Top Stories Section Added: In the top there is a new section added which displays the best stories and posts in Facebook blog. This makes the people see the best posts without searching for good stories.

Search Box Added: A new search box has been added at the top of the right-hand navigation to find posts. Here we can enter our keywords like in normal websites and search for our needs or posts we are interested in.

Most Popular Stories Section Added: Below the search box is a new section added which displays the most popular stories in the Facebook blog. This section features links to the five most popular posts in the blog. The list is automatically generated on the basis of traffic, comments, likes and the timeliness of a post. This makes the visitor read what the World is reading or the post which is popular.

Topics For Every Post: Every post on the Facebook blog now boasts of categories or topics. They are displayed below each post. If suppose one post is given the category “Games” and if you visit that category, you can see all the posts filed under the category “Games”. This makes it easy for people interested in a specific topic to read posts.

Facebook Favorites Section Added: This section displays the various pages on Facebook site like Help Center, Security, Ads, Marketing, Etc.

Blog Archive: A new archive page has been made which displays posts and is organized by topic, date and author.
