10 Tips To Design Professional Logos The Easy Way

To keep things short, do the following if you are thinking of designing a logo that will work for your company and product. Depending on the use of the logo, the professional logo design tips will be useful for creating logos that cater to the needs of your client:

1.) Choosing The Design:

This is the phase where you will be starting from the scratch, and will require you to use sketch and brainstorm ideas and then finalize by bringing various ideas into one good template. Still the logo is in the naïve phase for designing professional logos.

2.) Search For Templates:

Many times, you will find there are many logo templates that you can borrow and override on them. These designs could be used as a backdrop and one or more design ideas could be combined to generate a logo or be an inspiration for a novel logo design.

3.) Use Vector Softwares:

While designing logos, is good to use vector softwares like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape or Photoshop to create professional logos. These will give you the flexibility of giving a final professional touch to your logo.

4.) Use Fonts And Colors:

Using fonts and colors appropriatelyfor fitting your client’s requirements, and not over doing will make the logo get a professional touch. This is commonly advisable not to use more fonts and colors.

The test here is for using your skill in an appropriate manner and not the quantity of your skills in vector software.

5.) Let Logos Speak For Themselves:

This is wise to design logo that can tell you more about the notion of your client and use texts to make the logo speak for the cause of your clients. The lesser words with good quality and meaningful texts will make the logo standout.

6.) Spend Time:

Quality matters! For this, you will need to spend more time on the logo design. Once you have completed the design, stick to that and try a number of color combinations and different versions.

7.) Keep It Simple:

The test here is for the logo and not your software skills. For example, the tick mark design for Nike is much more memorable!

8.) Make Design Compatible For Black And White:

You can decide on the design that is compliant in black and white. To achieve this, I will design my logo first in black and white.

9.) Say “No!” To Photos:

Avoid using photo images into your logo, as this will interfere in scaling and resolution of your design.

10.) Make It Scalable:

Well, when you finish test the logo for various purposes and scale them to fit well with clarity for the smallest and biggest sizes that your client will expect to use.

A logo is very important. It needs to be memorable but simple. Many don’t have the artistic ability to do the logo well, and they should use a professional

“Make Design Compatible For Black And White:” – Oh so true! So many people make great colour logos, which when they have to be printed in black and white just fail!

Nice tips Saksham, what do you think of my logo?

I picked up a couple of great logos from logonerds who I found on Shoemoney’s marketplace about 3 months ago. Give them a try for inexpensive well done logos.
