If you created your blog using WordPress on your self hosted server and use the default template or theme provided by WordPress then you are absolutely WRONG! Never Ever use the Default template. You may search the WordPress Themes Directory for templates and chose any from them or may search Google for WordPress Themes. As WordPress is the most Blogging and CMS tool used it’s very easy to find WordPress themes. There also lots of web designers who design WordPress Themes.

You may even customize them if you have some or full knowledge about PHP and HTML. If you have a good budget and can probably afford a paid template go for it. A better option than buying a premium template is to hire a web designer and ask him to create a template for your blog. This way your blog stands unique in front of the other crowd.

Choose a proper template for your blog. Suppose if you have a Tech blog choose a template having computers, mobiles, etc., anything related to tech as header photo and in other spots. Don’t choose a template having Flowers or Cars all around. This shows your confused or less imaginative mind to your blog Readers and or users.

Remember the look of your blog is some what responsible for your less visitors. Always have a simple navigation in your blog. It should be very easy for the visitors to navigate in your blog. They shall not find it difficult to move from one place to other in your blog. Remember these points and chose or create a proper design for your blog.
