In my last post I told you about the “The Importance Of Reading Others Posts”. Have you read this indeed wonderful post. Reading is more important than writing.
After writing your blog post pause before you hit that ‘Publish’
button and consider the title of your post. Think before you hit the publish button. Think, “What is the post all about?”. Does the title is relevant to the post content.
Use Simple Titles – Yes, this is a very important aspect of choosing proper titles for your blog posts. Why so? Many users and readers search the web using simple keywords or you might say simple titles. Simple titles are the ones that we use in our daily life. Like if one wants to get “more readers in his blog”, most people will search like “I want more readers”. Very few will search like “How to increase the readers in our blog?”. So, remember to use simple titles.
Communicate Through Your Title – In a word or so try to tell your reader what the post is about in your title. Many people do not read your posts, they just read the title. If they find the title useful or their query matches it they read the article. I too do the same.
Use Proper Key Words In Your Posts – Always use proper keywords for your posts. How to get these proper keywords? The answer is indeed very simple. Suppose if want to search in Google for “WordPress Themes”, what keyword will you use to search? The keyword you use here can become the title of your post about WordPress Themes. Similarly use the keywords you will use to search if you want a particular post as title. In other words, use keywords or titles that people commonly use for searching.
Choose An Unique Title – A good title draws readers into your post. There will be many other posts with the same content as yours. You may wonder, how can my post come first in search rank? The answer is, use an unique title. Imagine yourself searching for information on a search engine – What would make you click your link? Use an unique and a descriptive title to drag users to your post leaving the other posts of the same topic.
Although titles are an important aspect of a post, they are not everything. They just are a medium to make your post properly and search friendly. If there is no content in your post, what will the reader read in your post? So write good content in your post and then spend some time choosing a title for your post. This will really help you to make your post popular and for readers to find them very easily.
