This is the ninth post in the series “Tips For Writing A Good Blog Post”.
Long back in the previous part of this series I told you about the importance of using a universal language structure. Now you might have got it, why it’s important and why you need to keep to it.
In this post I will tell you some points about using keywords in your posts. Today in the blogging world or infact in the whole web keywords drive a website. If there are good keywords in a website its seen by the world and if no keywords, no one sees that site. So simple, use a lot of keywords in your posts as well as site. Here we won’t discuss about using keywords in your site but only a post.
Seo Benefits
If you use keywords in each of your blog post then its likely that your post will be discovered by the world and if you don’t, you will get hardly any readers. When you stuff your post with keywords you get many SEO benefits. If the keywords in your post matches with the searchers keywords then your site post is displayed in the search results of the search engines like Google, Yahoo. etc.
The site displayed in the search results isn’t important if it is getting displayed in the last page of search results. Its important that your post is displayed in the first 5-10 pages. Then only you can hope for some users from search engines.
Internal Search Engine And Results Of Your Blog
Stuffing your posts with keywords also improves your blog’s internal search engine i.e. search box placed in your site. When there are enough keywords in your blog post your blog search engine script matches the searchers keywords with the words or keywords in your blog post and the post getting matches are displayed as a part of the search results. So if you have many posts in your blog and the number is increasing day by day and there are many categories in your blog users won’t likely search in the archives of your blog and instead they will use the search option.
Keywords Are The Pillars
Keywords are the main source of traffic and thus are your blogs pillars. They not only bring traffic but also help you readers. They are the real administrators of your blog. They make you content more popular and findable in this vast web.
So use enough and more keywords in your post and make the full use of this power i.e, KEYWORDS!

But, i think we must also limit the keyword in one post. It is because the post with too much keyword is not interesting anymore for readers.
Yeah you should put keywords to a certain limit. By stuffing I mean use key-words instead of normal words wherever you can. It can act in both ways – +ve or -ve. Some like keyword stuffed posts while some don’t. It depends on the reader whether he likes it or not. You too have a point.
I am not surprised you only have 5 subscribers if you are giving out poor advice like this!
You should never write for search engines! Write for your readers!!
They will drive traffic to you by linking to you and refering you!
Keyword stuffed posts are usually poor quality and will not get linked to and hence will do poorly in the search engines!
Thanks for commenting in Blogging Junction!
You may be correct but Search engines are the ones which bring you readers. If you don’t have readers whats the point in writing for readers. By stuffing post with keywords I mean to use keywords instead of words where its possible and it doesn’t affect your post quality.
Also you say I have only a mere 5 subscribers, its TRUE. From past 15 days I haven’t updated my blog due to my exams, that’s the reason I am losing my readers. I am sure I will get my readers back.
Using few related keywords to your article is fine. Not to stuff it fully. This will look odd to your readers.
I guess there is a balance to be attained. Too many keywords and the ‘flow’ of the article may be hampered. Too few and search engines will not pick it up.
As one of your other posts mentions, it is good to review your posts before uploading them, just to be sure that some key words can substituted in for other phrases.
Substituting phrases with some keywords can increase your post SEO rankings as well as get you more from Adsense and other such services.
Keywords are the main source of traffic and thus are your blogs pillars. Totally agree with this sentence. without good keyword phrases it’s difficult to get good traffic.
You’re right! Keywords are the traffic generators, but do not over stuff the post with keywords!
Keyword stuffing is not smart or just using the word. Google hates stuffing and they will penalize if the crawlers find that you adding to many keywords and trying to be sneaky with the stuffing.
Writing for search engines will get more traffic to your site but will the they return? Maybe, maybe not. I believe there should be a happy medium between writing for the search engine and write for your readers. I try and do both.
