All the bloggers use feedburner these days apart from the original feed in their blog. The original feed is something like,
http://www.bloggingjunction.com/feed
The feed you burn with feedburner is something like,
http://feeds.feedburner.com/bloggingjunction
If you use both the feeds in your blog, you are doing completely wrong! If suppose I visit the first link and suppose other reader visits the second link, my visit won’t be counted though I have read your feed or visited your feed. But the second visitors will be counted because, he visited the second link and that’s the original feedburner link.
The visits to the first link won’t be counted at all. They may be beneficial to your readers although, but the visits may not be counted and you won’t be able to show the number of readers you have. Then what’s the use of the second link at feedburner? So you need to gather all your reader at one feed. To do this you need to redirect the first link i.e. http://www.bloggingjunction.com/feed to http://feeds.feedburner.com/bloggingjunction. This way all your readers visit one link the feedburner one and their visits get counted and you can see increase in the readers count.
To do this you need to install a plugin in WordPress. The plugin is named FD Feedburner Plugin. You can download it from, http://flagrantdisregard.com/feedburner/
First download it and then install it in your blog and activate it. This plugin does the job of redirecting your blog feed to your blog feedburner feed.
After you have activated the plugin visit the plugin control panel link named “Feedburner Configuration”. It is under the “Plugins” section. Make sure you have a feed burned for your blog at feedburner.
Once you are in there at the plugin control panel under “Redirect my feeds here” type your feedburner URL for your blog feed.

Under this option there is one more called “Redirect my comments feed here”. You can optionally fill in here your blog comments feed if you have burned at feedburner. I have not burned so I didn’t include it here. This one is totally optional and you can use this upon your own wish.

Below this is a column named “Advanced Options”. There are three options namely below it,
- Do not redirect category or tag feeds
- Append category/tag to URL for category/tag feeds (http://url_category)
- Do not redirect search result feeds

First one tells the plugin whether to redirect the categories or tags feed of your blog to your feedburner feed. You can decide on your own. Although I prefer leaving this box unchecked.
If the next option named “Append category slug to feedburner URL” option is checked, category feeds will be redirected to your main feed with the category slug appended.
For example, if you’re main feed is “feeds.feedburner.com/bloggingjunction” and your category slug is “blogging” then the feed for that category will be redirected to “feeds.feedburner.com/bloggingjunction_blogging”.
But I have found this feature giving me some errors. So I recommend leaving this box unchecked.
The third option says “Do not redirect search result feeds”. Leave this box unchecked as this can help increase reader count.
Thus, leave all the three boxes unchecked. Though you can decide on your own wish and choice.
This way all your blog feeds will be redirected to your feedburner feed. You can check this at my site.
Type http://www.bloggingjunction.com/feed . and see whether it redirects to http://feeds.feedburner.com/bloggingjunction
It will redirect 100 per cent!

I like this very much, thank you for going into such detail.
I actually went into the template and recoded mine to read the feed burner link, but your way is much easier for those not comfortable with messing with their themes coding.

Hi,
Ask him to deactivate the plugin and re-activate it. Or ask him to re-install it. Hope it works for him.
