Get Good Amounts Of Blog Content – Break Down Posts Into Parts.

Almost everyone suggests you to give importance to theBroken_glass quality of a post rather than the quantity of posts in your blog. This is not correct in my view. Quality needs to be kept in our mind, but quantity too is necessary. I see many blogs with very very long posts. Some times the posts goes over 2000 words. What a number is this? Who has got such a long time to read this much long post? And this too will get only one link from search engines. There is a great idea to get good blog content. Not by copying, but by your present post.

Yes, its possible! Breaking down posts into parts is a very good idea to get good content for your blog.

One way to get high amounts of blog content is to break down the posts. Yes breaking down the posts. It means if you have a single post of 2000 words or 10 points, break it or divide it into parts. Suppose if you have a 2000 words posts, you may divide that post into different posts with 250 words in each post. This gives you eight posts! From a single post you are to eight posts. If you have written ten points in a single posts, you may divide that 10 points into 10 posts. This gives you good content. Also you will get 10 or more links form search engines.

Many visitors or users do not read very long posts. They want small yet highly informative posts. Breaking down posts can do just that. Rather than a large post per day, you get many posts. This keeps your blog updated for a long period. Also as your post is divided into many posts, you get many links form search engines.

As you have divided a single post into parts, a user will come back to your site to read the rest of the post. This might generate you some repeat visits. You will generate good number of page views, if you are running impression based ads in your blog or site. You may also link from one post to the another post. This generates internal links and increases your search engine ranks.

FACT:- A post with a single point will rank higher in a search engine rather than a single post with ten points in it. This is a true and proved fact. I have tried it myself.

  1. Yes, you´re probably right but I´ve also heard that you also need big posts. In the book “Problogger- Secrets for blogging…” Rowse and Garret states that when you are running a new blog you need at least 10 small post but also 5 long posts. I think this is understandable because it´s necessary to foster your readers loyalty.

What do you think about it?

    Great post.

    • Thanks for commenting! Yes, at some point you also need to post some long posts. But their number be less, and short posts number be more. You should write a short or a long post depending on your topic. By breaking down the post, I mean to say that, If you have a very long post, divide it into some parts. It helps.

Very useful post. I will keep this stuff in mind if I find myself writing a large post.

  3. Too long and deep posts are tiring. I don’t like them. I can’t stand reading one new post on problogger.net per day no matter how much I want to learn from the successful figure. They’re really deep and have massive external resource, totally overwhelming.

Compact + concise posts are better.

    • Thanks for the brief and positive comment! I too agree with you. I myself don’t like long posts, be it very detailed. I myself try making posts shorter as much as I can. I try to get to the point directly.

I read many very very long post. but some times these post are very good.
I think 250 words post will be ranked well in non-competitive niche if you blog has good authority but competitive niche required longer and sharp posts.

    • Type of posts should depend on the type of blog. A popular blog need long + short posts. Where as a new blog need more posts in quantity, no matter how long they are. But quality is important in both.
