In my last post I told you the importance of working
hard to improve your blog. I hope you found it useful and now know the importance of working hard. It does not imply only to blogging but also to other applications of your life.
There are many styles of blogging but when it comes down to it most bloggers have some sort of a desire to connect with readers. Some bloggers keep readers at an arms length. Some bloggers might switch off comments and rarely respond to the e-mails they receive. But it’s probably an advantage to actually engage your readers in someway. If you don’t like people then this might be challenging. Another related question might be ‘Are you an approachable person?’
Never close the comments in your blog posts. If a post becomes old and there is more number of comments in it, you may better close comments in that particular post. But always leave a message below, if you want to contact me, use this e-mail id or etc, any other message.
Always keep a contact page on your blog. You may keep a simple contact form in your blog like one at Blogging Junction. If not a contact form, just simply create a contact page in your blog and put your e-mail there. If you are e-mail conscious blogger, create a different e-mail for users to contact you.
If users comment in your blog or e-mail you, reply them as soon as possible. Don’t leave your e-mail and comments on auto responder mode. Don’t leave messages such as “I’m Busy”, etc. Reply a little late, but reply must.
If user says a simple “Thanks. Good post.” you too thank him with “Good to hear that you liked the post. Visit my blog regularly to get such new and good posts”.
Thus we conclude that, always reply to your users comments and e-mails. Try helping them as far as possible. Help them as such that they don’t need to consult anyone else. Also write a line at end of every e-mail or comment you reply of your users those who ask you help “If you need any more help, please feel free to contact me. I will be grateful to help you.”
Be social with you users, Be Happy!
