By Hi friends! I visit many blogs daily as I love reading. I 
read many blogs on a regular basis. I many a times find empty comments in these blogs. The commentators leave a comment in the blog and the comments are left unreplied by the authors of the blogs. The commentators just keep on leaving comments are they are not replied by the author at all.
Many a times the commentators ask the author some questions. But these questions are not answered by the author. The commentators questions get buried in the blog comment archives and they are never answered. Do you think this attitude is right?
According to me this attitude is completely wrong. You should always reply to the user comments. If your users ask questions, answer them. Answer their questions. Try making these answers informative and reliable. You reply a little late but don’t forget to reply. If you are going to reply a little late leave a comment telling the same with the reason you are doing so, so that the commenter knows when you will answer his question.
Don’t take too long to answer the question. Research on his question and answer in a brief and easy to understand manner. In case the answer gets too long, answer it as a post in your blog and give the commenter the link to the post. In this way you can interact with your commenters and increase you readership.
If someone leaves a comment in your blog and he isn’t asking a question or his is a just thank you comment you too thank him for commenting in your blog. You can reply him with a message,
Thanks for commenting in (Your Site Name). Please don’t forget to comment on our other posts.
This encourages us to post even better. Your generous support is expected.
Thank You,
(Your Name)
This isn’t the only message that you can use. You can also create your own unique message. Whatever the comment is reply to it.

I always do this. At least when your blog is new and don’t have readership.
Its necessary to do this.. whether your blog is old or is new… But if your blog is getting very large amount of comments, this isn’t possible until you have multiple moderators and editors and so on…
I recently did a post just like this one….
I believe one should make every effort to reply to all comments on their blog. There hopefully will come a time when the blog is soooo big and there are tooo many comments and one may not be able to get to them all, but by then hopefully as well the readership will be able to communicate amongst each other and answer each other’s questions.

It does make for good times when the blog author answers a question or simply replies to a comment. I look forward to responding to all of my comments daily. It is also good form to click through and visits your commenter’s blogs as well. That’s the way to build a really strong community.
I normally answer/reply to comments on my blog. But these past few days were a stress so I left comments unreplied, but I’d always reply at a later time. I totally agree with you on this subject.
Even I’m busy from the past few days and I guess I’ll be busy for this and next month too! But I always try to reply to all the comments.

Well, it depends I would say. I usually leave a comment as my reply ONLY IF the comment from my reader really needs my intervening. Simply replying just for the sake of it (and to increase over all comment count) is something that I wouldn’t do. Good point, anyway!

I never keep my readers’ comment unreplied…. Actually, commenting makes a good relationship with the readers.
I agree completely with you. Answering comments helps build relationships.
I have noticed this for many blogs. Infact, many successful bloggers have this bad habit of not replying to reader comments which leaves their blogs look inactive. I believe comments put life in your blog. A must needed entity to run a good blog.
