You are very right. It is always a privilege to have multiple authors at your disposal. More content == More gateways for Search Engines as well as real visitors.

But it can be a challenge to run a multi-author blog especially in your early days of blogging!

Yes! Very few might be interested in blogging for your site unless you have good ranks, traffic, readers.

Multi-author blogs are so useful. Especially because you can cut down on your own work and don’t have to post as often :P

I think, that problems will begin when you start to divid profits. Every autor will want to get his part, but do you want to share? And how you will share? who should get more, and who less?

Exactly, I thought of them! So it’s important to group bloggers only who are good by nature and understanding and are NOT greedy. I think the administrator should get the most profits. Or they can just divide the profits according to their post contribution and time they spend for the blog.

I like the idea of multiple writers for a blog. I prefer rather than generating huge numbers of posts, that instead, the writers collaborate to produce much higher quality posts than they otherwise would. I don’t see this being done anywhere though. I think their is great opportunity out there if someone was to do it.

You’re absolutely right!! Quality should be given more priority than quantity. If all authors write quality posts, then there will be quantity + quality!

One of the great benefits of multi-author blogs is you can get more good quality of content. As well as it also helps to make buzz around your blog very fast. But only one downfall is that you have to share revenue ;)

He..he….yes you do have to share revenue! It pinches! But we do have to return our authors something!

I think having a multi-author blog also builds a community and the blog becomes more of a network and if the blog owner wants to give credits like revenue sharing then number of blogger do increase.

Great idea, I can’t believe that I didn’t think of it first. ha ha No really sometimes the best ideas are right there in front of you and sometimes it takes a little brain storming to get to that eureka moment. I can see so many benefits to have multiple author blogs, as you mentioned if one member is ill or has other scheduling that puts them out of town you will always have someone on call. I do agree with one of the readers that at the time of the distribution of the monies, there in could lie the problems. Although if your group is a tight friendship,& business type group then there should be no problems, but everything should be written down ahead of time and discussed. jj
