Even after writing many good articles, many bloggers struggle in getting visitors and generating pageviews. In other words they struggle in generating traffic. They keep on writing but don’t get any visitors, don’t get any traffic! What to do? How to get traffic to your blog? In this 5 point post I’ve mentioned some ways in which you can get traffic to your blog quickly.
1.) Article Marketing or Writing Guest Articles
One way of getting quick traffic to your blog is to write for other blogs or article directories. Suppose you write for a popular blog having 100K readers, you have a chance to bring those 100K visitors to your blog for free. I know all 100K readers won’t come to your blog, but at least a few thousands of them will come! That’s enough according to me! Keep on writing for various popular blogs and you will keep on receiving traffic. Remember the better your guest article, the more traffic you will get!
2.) Comment On Other Blogs
It’s a human tendency to see “who does”, “what for us”. If you comment on a blog, about 75 percent of the blog owners will visit your blog. I have a habit of visiting my blog commentators websites / blogs. Many people have similar habit too! So comment on as many blogs as possible. Though this isn’t a quick traffic generation tip, it helps! Along with blog owners, if you post valuable comments the blog readers might also visit your blog. Start commenting now!
3.) Participate In Forums Regularly
Another way of getting quick traffic is posting actively in forums. Participate actively in DigitalPoint (DP Forums), IndiaStudyChannel (ISC), Etc.
Read this post about must join technology and blogging forums. Post good content in those forums, reply regularly to others questions and you will get good traffic to your blog. DigitalPoint forums work the best!
4.) Banner Exchange
Exchange banners with some of the blogs related to your niche. Don’t go for very popular blogs. They won’t exchange banners with your blog. Instead opt for small blogs. Banner exchange will help you drive some traffic to your blog for free! Similarly you can try text link exchange. Link exchange won’t help in getting traffic, but may help in increasing your ranks.
5.) Advertise Using Google Adwords
Google Adwords if used properly will help you get thousands of targeted visitors for a cheap price. Although this is a paid method, you get free coupons sometimes when you create an account at Adwords. Use Adwords and drive targeted traffic to your blog easily!

I have tried most of this traffic strategies but the traffic is still slow to my website. I have about 150 visitors a day. What I have not done yet is article marketing and Advertise Using Google Adwords.
I am read a lot and a good article can bring tons of traffic to any website. I am going to concentrate on that. Most of my traffic is coming from twitter now.

Use social marketing services.
1. Find a video that you believe will go viral
2. Watermark it with your site
3. Post it around facebook, twitter and places like Digg.
4. The traffic will come once the video goes viral.

Generating traffic is not easy, especially for new blogs. Some ways that I use is, commenting on another blog, post to facebook and also twitter

Great article, Saksham. Choosing the right niche for your blog and commenting are great ways to increase traffic and also rank high in search engines. Another great way is to choose a blog post title that receives a lot of traffic in search engines. To do that, you can use Google Adwords Keyword Check.

Make sure you have a follow blog as well. It’s only fair to give a link back to their website if they contribute great quality text on your blog.

Unfortunately you can’t use your PayPal account to pay for Google Adwords.
I noticed one comment above about video marketing going viral. Video marketing is a great way to market due the visual aspect of dramatically highlighting a product. But I have made many video put them on over 100 social bookmarks each, put them on Facebook, Twitter, etc. And still do not get much traffic.
One way I have found to get some traffic however is to make a video as close as possible to a current HOT Google Trend and put tags on your video the same as those on the actual video that is showing in the top 10 of Google Trends. Then there is the possibility of getting some killer traffic.
Some nice tips from you. I will try making a good video on a trending topic. Well its difficult or perhaps impossible for me to create videos! :(

the technique in details is that you rename each photo you add in your blog by your blog name then the photo name for example if you add photo for sharon stone the actress you rename the photo like http://www.myblogname.com_sharon_stone_1 then next photo for same actress like http://www.myblogname.com_sharon_stone_2 … etc and also try to tag the photo by more details about it , this technique make your photo get indexed in google image search and also get you great results , also you watermark the photo or image with your blogname and this makes your image seen by search engine and by human eyes , hope this explanation explain in brief the idea , if you need more help feel free to ask or contact me
