Personally, if I see an obviously sponsored tweet in someone’s stream that’s an instantaneous unfollow and block… I get advertised at enough elsewhere.

Selling ads direct to the advertiser is a big challenge for me. Never try it before. I think, Adsense works best for me =)

Really helpful article. I have always thought of doing the Twitter ads now that I’m about to round 5k followers, but I’m worried it will somewhat ruin credibility. Have you seen any backlash from Twitter advertising, and have you made consistent money with it? Thanks for all the great insight!
No Twitter advertising doesn’t cause any harm. Twitter advertising can’t earn you a high amount. Other earning options are still better. Thanks for the comment Brian!

I like selling my ads directly – OIOPublisher plugin helps you do it very efficiently but you got to remember – that option have to be promoted by you. Using ad networks is simpler but less profitable
OIO Publisher is a very good plugin! I use it for showing ad banners but I sell ads manually.
It is a must have plugin for every blogger.
