5 Tips For ‘Blogger / Blogspot’ Blogs

Internet has made everything possible now. We can see most of the people getting started to Blog seeing the Professional Bloggers. May it be Niche Blog or a Personal blog, the starters intend to use the Google’s www.blogger.com at first because it is simple and easy to understand and mostly because it is Google’s, so indexing of the posts on Google will be better. Here are 5 Tips for ‘Blogspot” bloggers. Don’t forget that Blogging is an addiction for sure. It is the simplest way to call yourself a ‘Writer’ when you Blog. Its wrong. First have Quality. In Blogging, Quality is the key to success and not quantity.

1. Use Social Networking a lot

The professional blogs like this one automatically tends to use Social Networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Most of the visits come from them. But, its not the course of the Blogspots. So Blogspot bloggers, try to use the Social networking options as much as possible. Try to put a retweet or Facebook share button after every post as it is not available by plugins. Even, mention about your posts in these sites.

2. Carefully Select the Designs

Google provides a bulk of designs for a Blogspot user along with the latest Customized Design. There are also many design templates provided by other websites on the Internet. But, there are reports of many problems occurring of using the third party designs. Many bloggers have faced their blog not getting indexed properly in many search engines too. So always use the Designs provided by Google and with the new designs come up now, you will like them. Don’t forget, always use a standard design that impresses crowds.

3. Have a Standard of Writing

Since its a externally hosted blog, don’t think that Normal English will suit. Try to implement the professionalism of writing. People read a lot of professional writings and come back to the blog afterwards. But the normal blogs don’t get that much appearance. As I said before, quality is key to success. I meant Quality of Writing. One very well written post is equal to 5 just normal posts. Think of Quality not Quantity.

4. Have a Short URL

The Blogspot blogs always end with .blogspot.com. And if you give a normal name for your blog for example yourname.blogspot.com . This itself makes it a huge URL and people won’t like it. So instead for an alternative, get a .co.cc ending. So your URL will change to youname.co.cc . To get a co.cc URL just go to www.co.cc and register. Its mostly free except for some commercial and top URLs which cost $3 per year.

5. Don’t mocker up with Widgets

Google provides a lot of Widgets to Blogspot users which are impressive and bloggers tend to use these unwanted widgets. Instead, use the simpler ones and which is helpful to you. Don’t Mocker your page with all the Widgets and everything will look a mess. Google provides bulk widgets. Just use the normal- Search, Comments, Posts and any other normal one.
