10+ Super Helpful Hubs For Online Writing Tips

With new blogs popping up everyday, competition is rough.  Getting traffic takes a lot of time and work, and making any serious money from blogs seems to be saved for the A-listers.

One way to make money outside of your blog is by writing articles for high-ranking websites.  This can get you the built in traffic without having to set up your own website. One of my favorite places to do this is HubPages.

Hubpages is a fantastic place for online writers to submit articles.  The site gives freelance writers an opportunity to write about a variety of topics and earn money in the process.  As I started writing for HubPages, I discovered very useful and super helpful articles as a blogger and writer.

One popular Hub topic is…

wait for it…

…making money online as a writer.

These 11 hubs are geared specifically towards online writers or bloggers including ways to make money, advertising tips, and writing strategies.

Rather than spending time writing for HubPages for money – that time is better spend developing your own blog. Other than that – great list!

A blog will be better if we look at future, but HubPages may offer instant results!

A combination of two is good. It takes a long time to get your own websites up in high Page Rank where that is already built in in HubPages. Very few bloggers make money SOLELY with their blogs. Diversity is key for freelance writing. HubPages also allow for many topics when your blog focuses on one niche.

I agree to Julie. This is called on-site & off-site optimization. Besides, Slava, I’ve seen your comments on dozens of other websites. You’re one of the top commenters this month at Comluv and you’re telling us about the importancy of contributing to own blog vs. contributing to someone else’s blog?

Building a great hub is good in promoting your own website (even they only allow nofollow links), and it’s also good in earning little through their shared google adsenes, but I wouldn’t focus on this, perhaps just 2 – 3 hubs are good enough to bring traffic to your website.

There’s one hub that I really enjoyed reading, it’s about SEO by Ann Smarty, I just forgot the title, but I’ll try to search for it and share it with you :)

Jason

I do believe, putting more concentration on own blog has its advantage. But, it’s always nice to have “cheat codes” for instant boosts :) :) Thanks for the share bro :)

Cheat codes… I think you play a lot of games! :)

Your own blog is great to have complete control, but it may not be a money maker. Instant boosts of traffic are nice – HubPages has a PR of 6 and my blog has a PR of 3… other article sites, like eHow and eZine are even higher!

Thanks for the helpful tips about where we can find places to write. It helps to know when you are a newbie as the one thing we all want is for people to come read our posts and not feel we are talking to ourselves. I have heard of hubs but so far haven’t investigated them further. Thanks

It is so nice that you put all this together for us online writers/bloggers/freelancers. Sometimes researching helpful information takes up more time than I would like and takes away from my writing time, but you have managed to collect some very useful resources and put them all together here. Thanks and great work!
Peace and Love,

With number of websites growing like crazy – from 70M in 2000 to almost half a billion in 2010 – and the fact that there still are only 10 positions on Google’s first page, it;s not hard to draw out projections for future competition among blog owners that are here to make money.

Yeah, that’s the reason I am scared to be a pro blogger. Who knows in future if a blog will earn so much as it does today for today’s pro bloggers. In future it will be like, who can spend, they can earn!
